A method workshop is hold in Würzburg on 18th and 19th of March. This workshop aims at teaching students about the field work protocol for each of LandKliF experiments, getting students as well as field assistents familar with the set-up of experiments. After a short introduction by Ingolf and Sarah we went through the plot set-up and experiments together. Each student was responsible for showing the other field workers his/her experiment and what equipment they need. Special instructions were given to pitfalls and other things to look out for. On Tuesday a circuit methods training was carried out for some of the technically more difficult experiments. We have all tried to set them up ourselves for multiple times (Malaise traps, trap nests, wildlife cameras, decomposition experiment). The workshop is very fruitful and the students have given a fantastic performance!
